Consultation commodity-based charge (TAR NC)

The rise in energy prices has meant a considerable increase in the cost for compression energy for the transmission system. To account for this price increase, a commodity-based charge is to be applied at the latest from October 1, 2022, in addition to the capacity-based transmission charges already prescribed in the Gas System Charges Ordinance (GSNE-VO 2013).
Please note that the commodity-based charge specified in the consultation document is based on indicative costs and that the final amount of the charge will be determined in an amendment to the Gas System Charges Ordinance (GSNE-VO 2013).

Please send your comments or reactions to tarife@e-control.at by 14 March 2022 at the latest. Consultation responses may be submitted in German or English and will be published on our website.

Final consultation of the reference price methodology (closed)

Commission Regulation (EU) 2017/460 of 16 March 2017 establishing a network code on harmonised transmission tariff structures (TAR NC) defines, among other provisions, rules regarding reference price methodologies, publication and consultation requirements and the calculation of reserve prices for standardised capacity products.

In accordance with Article 26 and 28 of the TAR NC E-Control consults on the proposed reference price methodology and the resulting indicative reference prices as well as on the proposed discounts, multipliers and seasonal factors.
