Gas conversion check
The gas conversion check calculates a rough approximation for the conversion factor on your natural gas bill.
Gas consumption is physically metered in cubic metres. Billing, however, is on the basis of kilowatt hours. How many kilowatt hours these are depends on the energy content of your gas.
This is determined through a conversion factor (z value). The conversion factor differs depending on the geographical elevation and the concrete installation point of your meter (inside a building or open air). You conversion factor is stated on your gas bill.
The gas conversion check calculates an approximation so that you can check whether the factor on your bill is plausible. Deviations are still possible because the delimitation between elevation levels is not harmonised.
