The time we spend on public transport, for instance, often goes unused, but now you can fill it with information on price comparisons and individual electricity and gas suppliers. The Tariff Calculator smart phone app displays all important information needed for supplier switching in a user-friendly layout on your display. |
Straightforward mobile interface
The smart phone layout also includes a redesign of the user interface: just as in the web version, the calculator needs to know your postal code and annual consumption. But most people don't know their electricity or gas bills by heart or happen to have them in their pocket, so a simple estimation based on household size helps you estimate your consumption data.Prices and savings potential
The Tariff Calculator then displays a list with the cheapest supplier (for your postal code) at the very top, including the total price that would be charged for the calculated annual consumption and the amount of money you could save if you switched to this supplier - including all possible one-off discounts.To estimate this savings potential, the calculator will assume that you are currently under contract with the incumbent - which is true for most Austrian households.
However, if you're one of those who already switched suppliers in the past, you can of course adjust the calculation and compare all alternative suppliers with your current one.
And, as on the web, you have access to information on each supplier's rate individually and can find out how to go about switching - all through your mobile phone.
