Gas-Akademie

The regulatory authority E-Control has set up the Gas-Akademie trainings to give participants a targeted overview of the Austrian natural gas market and the regulatory topics connected with it. The programme strikes a balance between theoretical and practical learning and allows for discussions, thereby ensuring immediate relevance of the issues addressed for the participants' day-to-day work. And if there are questions - for instance, on an individual company - which are not suitable for discussion with all participants, or if they turn up only afterwards, the speakers can be contacted via telephone.

Participants who take modules A through C have the possibility to conclude the Gas-Akademie programme with an exam and certificate. All participants receive a participation confirmation for the modules they take.

The Gas-Akademie modules

Each module is half a day long; the modules can be taken individually or can be combined. If you would like to complete Gas-Akademie with an exam and certificate, you must take modules A through C. The available modules are:

Module A – The Austrian natural gas market
Module B – Natural gas trade and system access (completed module A required)
Module C – Supplying consumers
Module D – Flexible module

The speakers

The speakers at Gas-Akademie trainings are mostly long-standing experts from E-Control's staff or specialists for particular topics from the energy industry and academic institutions.

Participation fee

Each module costs € 150 (incl. VAT). This covers all training materials, catering and administration.

Should you have any questions, please contact gasakademie@e-control.at the number of participants of each module ist limited to 20. E-Control reserves the right to cancel dates if fewer than ten participants have registered. The Gas-Akademie will be hold aprox. three times a year.
