Scope of the conference

The conference, taking place in the framework of the GRI SSE, will focus on the handling of provisions to prevent insider trading and market manipulation, as well as trade reporting under the new regulation on wholesale energy market integrity and transparency (REMIT), which entered into force on 28 December 2011. ACER, the Agency for the Cooperation fo Energy Regulators, issued a guidance paper on the interpretation of REMIT. This will be updated in mid-2012 and as the conference tries to give input to this update, the industry's perspective on REMIT will be of major importance. Speakers from the industry and from ACER will introduce the topics.
